Adidas Argentina World Cup home shirt 2010

Argentina had one of the most turbulent qualifications for the 2010 World Cup we have seen in a long while. Argentine legend Diego Maradona took charge of the Argentina national side in 2008 and although he started well, winning his firth three matches, Argentina looked like possibly missing out on qualification for the World Cup, however two victories in the last two matches was just enough to see Argentina qualify and take their place at the tournament. The new Argentina football kit is manufactured by Adidas and follows the traditional light blue and white stripes that you would expect from an Argentina home shirt. The Adidas badge us just below the collar of the shirt, which is white, with the country badge on the left chest. The shoulders are solid blue with the traditional three stripes of Adidas running down the shoulders in white.

Argentina qualified for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa after finishing 4th in their qualification table but they left it late with two victories in their last two matches necessary to go through. It looked for a while that it would be the first time since 1970 that we wouldn’t see the Argentina soccer jersey at the World Cup but a winning goal in the 92nd minute against Peru and and84th minute winner against Uruguay was enough to secure victory and qualification.
