Adidas Greece World Cup home shirt 2010

With the world Cup fast approaching the countries that have qualified or are in the playoffs are releasing new football kits for the tournament with Greece being no different. This is the new Greece home shirt that they will wear if they reach the 2010 World Cup.

The new Greece shirt is manufactured by Adidas who have a contract to manufacture the Greek football kit until 2012. The Greece World Cup shirt is mainly white, the colour traditionally used for the Greece home shirt, and it has a blue collar and the Adidas stripes on both shoulders are also blue. The Greece logo is on the left chest of the shirt and the Adidas logo is on the right chest. There is also a blue line at the top and bottom of the shirt.

Greece really came to prominence when they won Euro 2004, making Greece football shirts very popular that year, but have failed in recent tournaments to come any where close to matching that having failed to qualify for the World Cup in 2006 and not getting past round one in Euro 2008. The vast majority of the Greek squad all play in Greece with key players like Giorgos Karagounis playing with Panathinaikos but there are a few players like Sotirios Kyrgiakos, Vangelis Maoras, Vasilis Pliatsikas, Theofanis Gekas and Giorgios Samaras plying their trade out with Greece and playing for some of the biggest teams in Europe. Official shirt printing for al your favourite Greek players is available for the Greece home shirt.

When Greece reach a major tournament then the Greece Soccer jerseys are always one of the most popular shirts which is expected to be the case this year too if they qualify through the playoffs for the 2010 World Cup. Greece have been drawn against the Ukraine in the playoffs after finishing second in group two to Switzerland by only one point. The group was decided on the last game of the group with Greece needing a win and Switzerland needing to lose for Greece to qualify automatically, Greece got their win but unfortunately Switzerland managed a draw in their match against Israel to send them through as automatic qualifiers.

Adidas France World Cup home shirt 2010

The new France home shirt has been released for the 2010 World Cup, should they succeed in beating the Republic of Ireland in the playoff this will be the shirt that is worn throughout the tournament.

The new France shirt is manufactured by Adidas although this is expected to be the last time that Adidas manufacture a home shirt for the French national side with the French Football federation signing a contract with Nike for them to start to manufacture the France soccer jerseys as of 2011. The new France World Cup shirt is the countries traditional dark blue colour with a white collar and white the Adidas stripes in white on the shoulder with there also being a red stripe in between. The Adidas logo is in the centre of the home shirt, just below the collar with the French badge on the left. There is red and white detailing on the front of the shirts in the form of diagonal lines running inward on the shirt.

The official shirt printing is available for the new France football shirts of all your favourite players including Thierry henry, Patrick Viera, Karim Benzema Nicolas Anelka, Patrice Evra, Eric Abidal, Florent Malouda and Franck Ribery. For many of the top French players, like Thierry Henry, this is likely to be the last World Cup for them as a lot of the players are now over 30 so they will be hoping that they can reach the tournament and make a mark on it as they did when they won the tournament in 1998 and were narrowly beaten in the final in 2006.

France have not quite qualified for the 2010 World Cup quite yet so the new France shirt may only end up being worn in future Euro qualifiers but they stand a good chance of beating the Republic of Ireland in the playoff although Ireland have been playing well and have beaten a number of good teams to reach second place in their group. France finished second in their group behind a very good Serbia team. France only lost one match throughout the qualification campaign but three draws proved to be too many as they lost out on top spot by only one point.
